I just want to get this on the record right now: Tonight's episode of American Idol was one of the WORST produced episodes in the shows HISTORY. I am so angry right now, I am going to blow a fuse.

Loved the show, guys. Chris, I think you are a bit premature in picking Johnny Keyser for the top 3... It's too early, IMO. I totally agree with Bill that personality will be key this year. We need someone like Kelly Pickler or Taylor Hicks. For now, I'm totally bored.

People all over the idol bubble always talk about how minorities can never win anymore and that America is "racist." But seriously, when you think about it, the minorites we have had over the past few seasons have sucked. Sorry, but it's true. Would you really have wanted Jacob Lusk or Ashthon Jones to have won last season? Would you have wanted Big Mike to get further than Crystal or Lee? Allison made it to 4th place, but couldn't beat the already big fan bases of the top 3. Syesha made it all the way to 3rd, but couldn't overcome the Davids(one of them happens to be a Latino). Also, would you have really wanted to see Lil Rounds win? Anoop was inconsitent, and not as good as the top 5. Everybody was ready for Jacob Lusk to be gone. Also, Karen, Naima, and Thia were all inconsistent, so the white girls like Lauren and Haley outlasted them.

So, I don't think the problem with minorities not winning or getting far is the viewers fault-the show just hasn't cast strong enough minorities the last few years. I will admit that I have voted for white contestants over the last few years. Not because I am racist(I'm not at all) but because the whites have been stronger IMO. Maybe this year will be different-it all depends on if the minorities are strong.

You might want to know about this info I found about how the auditions actually work from James Durbin
So first you do the big open cattle call, if you get back that they bring you back two days later, then you audition for a couple of the smaller producers and if you make it past that, you go to the big wig producers, Ken Warwick, Nigel Lythgoe and Simon Fuller and then they tell you if you’re going through or not. And then it was another month wait before I got to audition before the judges.

For the record I hate the amount of plants on The Voice and have decided not to watch. One girl -Angel Taylor - was on the freakin VH1 Top 20 countdown last year, and was one of their featured You Oughta Know artists... UGH!!!!!!
