Chris you are so right about the judges and Haley.
I think more than anything else they aren't sure what to do with someone there isn't an exact copy of already out there. I think they are just now starting to realize who she is and where she fits in. While her influences are throwbacky, her overall sound is actually very modern.

Thanks Ace, it was just obvious when compared to Lusk that they really tried to crush Haley for no reason for singing something they weren't familiar with.

Randy is the biggest waste of space on TV. Put Jimmy Iovine in his place next year, with NO input/script from the producers. Let there be one honest judge, please. They built up James all season with absolutely no criticisms and we saw the result last night.

I was right about Lauren as a Vegas ODDSMAKER.
And as far as Top 4, who did you want in the Top 4, Lauren or Jacob? Last week, America got it right.
This week, not so much.
BUT... Vegas is smiling about James and Lauren.

Randy and Jlo skewered Haley..It was hard to watch because they didn't let it go..It was overkill, and it backfired..The Haley fans must have texted their fingers off for her!

This is my own reaction to what they chose for Haley: Here’s the stripped down version of You Oughta Know that Haley can sing. Jagged Little Pill is my second-favorite album of all-time and it’s the reason I became a writer. If Haley can nail the true emotional resonance of this song, I just might cry (and I haven’t all season):

As for Lauren, good choice for her voice, but the story of the song is about a mother talking to her daughter, so that's odd.
Scotty has a great song, I've wanted him to sing Kenny Rogers all season, most notably The Gambler.

Bill...I am so incredibly happy to see that you are doing radio!! I remember when you were on a show when we were in High School (I am so mad I can't remember the man's name, but it was a big deal) It is so cool to see someone with talent and what you always wanted to do being done!!
